The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust’s SuDS for Schools project wins CIEEM award
The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust has just won the 2016 CIEEM Best Practice Award for Innovation for the Sustainable Drainage Systems SuDS for Schools project. Sponsored by Thames Water and the Environment Agency; this great project has implemented sustainable drainage (SuDS) and education programmes across various schools in London.
WWT Consulting were employed to do the site surveys and produce the concept and detailed designs for the project. The resulting SuDS systems have helped London catchments manage and use their water more effectively, whilst also educating the next generation about sustainable use of water in an area of the country that often experiences water shortages.
