Today is International Women’s Day and we’d like to celebrate this year’s #BalanceforBetter theme, by highlighting the remarkable talent, skill and leadership demonstrated by the women who work within our international business.
Rebecca Woodward, one of our Associate Directors, brings her longstanding skills and extensive experience to her role with passion and professionalism. Her aptitude in visitor centre planning, wetland ecology, managing vast aerial survey contracts, habitat design, wetland treatment systems and SuDS, have won us contracts all over the world, such as Tongli Interpretation Plan extensive habitat design and masterplanning in China and a masterplan for a wetland centre in New York, are to name but a few.
Principal Consultant Anna Wilson is project managing the design and build of Severn Valley Country Park visitor centre extension and interpretation fit out in Shropshire, UK. Other project management work includes HLF Ryevitalising the Rye for North York Moors and an Interpretation Strategy for Milton Keynes Parks Trust.
Senior Consultant Beth Môrafon is leading the design for Severn Valley Country Park interpretation. Her recent project management includes interpretation design for HLF A Forgotten Landscape, an Interpretation Action Plan for Our Picturesque Landscape and a design and build project for RSPB Loch Lomond Pond Dipping.
Consultant Beatriz López has been busy conducting aerial surveys for marine mammals in the south west of England. Back at the office, Bea has been working on the production of our new urban wetland handbook. She has recently delivered a stakeholder engagement workshop at Severn Valley Country Park and is currently developing interpretation content for the same project.
Assistant Consultants Freya Stacey and Christine Cooper have worked across the majority of our recent projects. This year Freya has also implemented our valuable social media sectors campaign. Both Assistant Consultants are instrumental in the development of the Severn Valley Country Park interpretation content and design.
Our whole team are supported by incredible office management skills from Andrea Salkeld, who covers all our international travel logistics, and is also an expert in some of our specialist design software. She has most recently taken on managing the transition of our website update. She is supported by our Excel and system software champion Shirley Baggs, who keeps all our comings-and-goings in check. Together, they manage our finances and run a tight ship.
Of course, it goes without saying that we have a fantastic team of male co-workers at WWT Consulting, who win, project manage and deliver outstanding international projects at all levels of seniority leadership. We’d like to say a big thank you to all our team for the great work we have delivered together. As kitsch as it may sound, ‘teamwork makes the dream work’, and we certainly do dream-big for a better world in our quest to create #BalanceforBetter environments at home and abroad.
Watch out for highlights from all our valuable team throughout the year.
