Provision of advice on wetland creation and restoration at Sichuan Xinjin White Crane National Wetland Park
Gareth Bradbury is in China this week providing on-site technical wetland creation and restoration advice at the Sichuan Xinjin White Crane National Wetland Park.
Our Client has been contracted by the Park to create new wetland habitats and invited specialist advice from our company.
Sichuan Xinjin White Crane National Wetland Park is an important stop-over site for migratory waterbirds in central China including Baer’s Pochard Aythya baeri, a critically endangered species which WWT is assisting international efforts to save from extinction.
For the last few years, the Park has taken measures to improve the natural environment (wetland habitats in particular) aimed to increase the biodiversity of the site.
Gareth has also had the opportunity to discuss various ecological issues with the technical team and explore the potential for future partnership working with WWT Consulting.
