New report from WBCSD promotes responsible water management
The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) has just issued a new report entitled ‘Sharing Water: Engaging Business’. It emphasises the crucial role business plays in ensuring the responsible management of water resources and urges greater collaboration across sectors to achieve this.
You can download the report here.
It promotes a more holistic “watershed approach”, which takes into consideration upstream and downstream interactions, and direct and indirect impacts, whilst recognising the needs of the environment.
We can help your business achieve an holistic approach to water management by developing site water management plans and minimising impacts of your operations through sustainable drainage (SuDS) and wetland treatment systems. These measures can reduce your impact on the environment and help reduce costs as well as provide important habitat for biodiversity – something that the State of Nature report issued yesterday by the RSPB recommends to help halt the decline in species.
