Urban wetland handbook available on the Ramsar website

We are delighted to announce that our newest publication, the “Good practices handbook for integrating urban development and wetland conservation”, is now available on the Ramsar website.

The handbook, launched at the Ramsar COP13, was produced as a result of discussions held at the workshop “Good practices for integrating urban development and wetland conservation” (co-hosted by WWT Consulting and Nanjing Ecological Research Institute of Changshu), which aimed to share best practice examples and recommendations on urban wetland design and management; the ideas put forward at the workshop have now been translated into the best practice guidance manual.

The new publication provides guidance to individuals, businesses, organizations or government involved in the design, planning, management and/or construction of urban wetlands.

We are pleased to share this new publication showcasing best practice examples from around the world, in the hope that the valuable experiences and principles illustrated throughout the handbook will be widely adopted.

Please follow this link to access the “Good practices handbook for integrating urban development and wetland conservation”.
