WWT Consulting away day at Cors Dyfi, home of the Dyfi Osprey Project
We’ve had a rather different Monday morning meeting this week; we swapped our diaries for walking shoes, got in a mini-bus and headed up the M5 to spend a couple of days of team training (and fun!) in mid Wales.
Our first stop was Cors Dyfi Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve, for which WWT Consulting have recently designed and installed brand new interpretation materials for their Osprey Observatory and associated visitor facilities. We were lucky enough to have great views of Monty and Glesni, the breeding ospreys on site, and their two chicks born this year. It is also really inspiring to know that the materials produced by WWT Consulting have been so well received by Reserve staff and, of course, the visitors.
On Tuesday morning we visited RSPB’s Ynis-hir Reserve, home of BBC’s Springwatch back in 2011, where we had the opportunity to learn about their outreach programme activities and take a stroll around the Reserve wetlands.
As you can imagine, all of us had a great time and the most intrepid even dared to brave the elements going for a swim … good effort on a grey, wet and windy evening!
Oh, and a big thank you to Marie and Matt – our diligent drivers, who did a brilliant job delivering us back to Slimbridge in time to celebrate a very special anniversary.
Stay tuned for more news on WWT Consulting’s exciting birthday!
