4,500 miles. 11 countries. 10 weeks. 1 paramotor. 1 woman.
Flight of the Swans promises to be one of the most exciting and inspiring conservation projects of recent times. Sacha Dench, Head of Media at WWT, will fly the entire migration route of the Bewick’s swan using just a parachute wing and strapped to a small propeller engine (a paramotor).
This will be the first ever attempt to follow Bewick’s swans on their annual migration. Starting her journey in the Russian Arctic she’ll travel through 11 countries back to the UK – a whopping 4,500 miles (7,000 km).
WWT Consulting are delighted to be working on this fascinating project, developing a community toolkit to be used in 11 countries along the Bewick’s swan’s migratory route in order to raise awareness of the species’ conservation issues.
