Ballycroy National Park Visitor Centre open for the 2013 Summer season
One of the visitor centre projects we worked on in 2008-9 in County Mayo, Western Ireland, is now open again and welcoming school groups and tourists for another season.
Based in one of the more remote National Parks, the visitor centre at Ballycroy provides people with an opportunity to find out about the rich cultural and natural history of the area through a mix of hands-on interactive displays and stunning local wildlife film and imagery. You can also get a sense of what life would have been like in a simple ‘bog house’ and have a go at rowing a traditional currach. See our case study here.
We really enjoyed working with the National Parks & Wildlife Service on this project and it’s lovely to hear that it’s still being appreciated by visitors (thanks for the feedback!).
Why not pop in and see it for yourself if you are in the area?
