Position: Senior Consultant
David’s role in the consultancy involves logistical planning and coordination, including design and production of transects and survey blocks for aerial survey. GIS data analyses, production of CAD design work, protected species surveys and providing support for wider consultancy projects including research, design, technical support and data analysis. David is also involved in conducting aerial surveys of seabirds around the UK coastline.
David was previously employed by WWT and has three years’ experience managing the Rearing Facility for WWT’s Slimbridge Wetland Centre. He brings a wide range of skills to WWT Consulting through his experience in avicultural practices, coastal habitat restoration and management, cetacean survey work, sea bird monitoring and arboricultural survey work. He also has considerable experience in public speaking and presentation as well as work with television, radio and other media involvement.
Additional experience has been gained through the design and construction of specialist sea duck and crane rearing facilities, as well as design and implementation of bio-security protocols. David also has wide ranging experience in Avian Influenza monitoring and mitigation.
