The treatment of wastewater from domestic and commercial properties can be challenging and often requires novel solutions.
WWT Consulting has experience of designing and constructing wastewater wetland treatment systems that range from individual domestic properties, to visitor centres receiving 15,000 people a day, to the treatment of wastewater from entire cities.
Although our designs are focussed primarily on ensuring all water discharging from our systems is of the highest quality, we also maximise additional benefits, including education and biodiversity. Our projects with schools, zoos and visitor centres have provided valuable education opportunities, such as science experiments for schools and native biodiversity exhibits for zoos. Our interpretation expertise means we can offer a full design and build service for the wetland treatment system and the additional learning facilities.
Where appropriate, we also combine agricultural and aquaculture elements into our designs so that economic benefits can be derived from the treatment of wastewater. This can be an important support to the livelihoods of communities around the world.
