Encouraging people to visit a site to see wildlife can be a contradiction. Creating habitats that function for wildlife is essential when developing outdoor interpretation; however, increased numbers of visitors may result in increased disturbance which can, in turn, mean a decrease in the amount of wildlife.

WWT Consulting has experience in designing wildlife attractions that benefit both the wildlife and the visitors, ensuring disturbance is minimised and the visitor experience is maximised. Our approach is to undertake feasibility assessments that both inform the direction of the design and ensure the wildlife habitats work for a range of species and the buildings within them. This not only ensures sensitive integration, but also informs the messages to be told, providing the visitor with an informative and emotive experience.

WWT Consulting also works with schools, zoos and a range of attractions to develop wetland treatment systems that are not only used to naturally treat wastewater but can also provide an educational resource and a recreational facility.
