Two travel to Tralee for a progress check on a habitat creation project

Rebecca Woodward and Marie Orchard are in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland, conducting a site visit to a wetland park that is currently being constructed. The park is adjacent to the River Lee estuary and our designs for a newly created tidal habitat to encourage wildlife onto the site are currently taking shape on the ground.

The works, which will also include bird hides, a viewing tower and a guided boat safari through the reedbeds, are due to be complete by July this year and will be open to the public in 2012 once the vegetation has established. WWT Consulting are currently in discussions with Tralee Town Council, the owners and operators of the site, to agree the design for the interpretation, which will be our next project here.
