It is rare for all of our team to be in the country at the same time, let alone the office, so we all try to save two days each year that we can guarantee we'll be able to spend time together. It gives us a chance to catch up on all the different projects we're working on, share knowledge and skills in different areas and, importantly, relax together!
Last week we crammed ourselves and a lot of kit and food into a minibus and headed for Pembrokeshire in Wales. We spent the night in the Youth Hostel at St David's, where the Warden, Geoff, and his Volunteer Assistant, Paul, were very accommodating and laughed at us persevering with a BBQ in the rain. Refreshment, generously supplied by one of our clients, The West Berkshire Brewery, helped lift the atmosphere though.
We awoke to bright sunshine and headed over to Ramsey Island for a fantastic day. Owned and managed by the RSPB, and just a one mile boat ride off the mainland, Ramsey is a great spot to watch seabirds, seals and porpoise.
Here's a selection of our photos - you can't stop us being interested in what we do best!
