Rain held off for lunch event at the London Wetland Centre

WWT Consulting yesterday hosted a lunchtime event at WWT's London Wetland Centre to encourage landowners and companies in the food and beverage industry to consider wetland treatment systems as a low carbon, low cost, low maintenance natural solution for their wastewater treatment.

Guests were invited to mingle and find out from staff about some of our previous projects in this area, some of which can be seen on our case study map here. Ian Griffin presented some previous projects in more detail before small groups were guided around the London Wetland Centre to see some wetlands in action, including the new Rain Garden, a showcase of sustainable design.

Thankfully, the weather held for us, as we have a little reputation for turning the sky grey when we go to London, and some good contacts were made.

A huge thanks to the West Berkshire Brewery who supplied samples of their beer. They operate a WWT Consulting designed wetland treatment system, which you can read more about here.
