The National Trust for Jersey has employed us to review two of their freshwater sites on the island to make recommendation for improving the access to them and engaging people through appropriate interpretation.
Anne Harrison and Marie Orchard will spend today reviewing St Ouen's Pond in the west and tomorrow looking at Grouville Marsh in the east. Both wetlands represent important freshwater habitat and will be assessed for the best way to improve the opportunity for visitors and local residents to find out more about the rich wetland wildlife heritage that Jersey has to offer.
Already on day one, Marsh Harriers have been spotted flying over St Ouen's Pond in search of prey and we have encountered a Wasp Spider in the vegetation.
