WWT Consulting developed a concept plan for the regeneration of a 8.75ha brown-field site in Grimsby. The Saltings site was formally allotments that, due to a rise in water table, have been abandoned.
WWT Consulting’s vision for the site is to see it transformed from a derelict urban brown-field site into a valuable public green space that benefits wildlife as well as the local residents.
This concept scheme would involve the enhancement of the wetland habitat, conversion of existing amenity grassland into a more bio-diverse habitat and the provision of paths and boardwalks.
