WWT Consulting undertook the detailed masterplanning of the 340ha Eulsukdo island in the Nakdong River, South Korea. This represents the first component of a larger, 1,450ha, park, which will provide valuable greenspace for Busan city as it expands.
The detailed masterplan proposal includes the improvement of nationally important wetlands, renovation of an existing park, visitor flow planning between existing and proposed facilities and a concept plan for a 54ha wetland visitor attraction.
Included within this masterplan is a hydrological plan that aims to improve the quality of the existing wetland habitats, provide a supply of clean water for the new wetland park and treat wastewater from the new facilities and car park.
