2009
WWT Consulting was invited to join architects, John Thompson & Partners, and landscape architects, Gillespies, for a design charrette in China.
During the week long design workshop, the team formulated an approach for developing a 35km2 area of land adjacent to Deqing. This site is to house a new residential, commercial and industrial areas with an aim to increase the attractiveness of the area to tourism.
WWT Consulting provided advice on the management of water on the site and the incorporation of a wildlife sanctuary and visitor centre, ensuring that the wildlife value wasn’t diminished.
