WWT Consulting is the UK’s leading wetland consultancy. We provide clients worldwide with services in the following four key areas:
- Ecological surveys and assessment
- Habitat design and management
- Visitor centre planning and design
- Wetland treatment systems and SuDS
We are a subsidiary business of the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) and these four service areas are derived from our parent company’s success over nearly 70 years of wetland reserve management and the operation of nine UK visitor centres.
The consultancy is based at Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, UK, the headquarters of WWT, to whom it returns all profit to assist with wetland research and conservation. You can find out more about WWT on their website.
WWT Consulting is committed to the environment, its staff and its clients. We are recognised as an Investor in People, hold ISO14001 certification in recognition of our environmental performance, and ISO9001 certification in recognition of our commitment to quality.
The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) was founded at Slimbridge on the banks of the River Severn by Sir Peter Scott in 1946. The original vision to engage people with wetlands and wildlife has remained at the core of WWT’s aims ever since.
In 1989, WWT established a consultancy in response to growing demand for the provision of professional, scientifically sound advice on all issues relating to wetlands, their wildlife and their relationship to people.
Known as WWT Consulting since 2006, but previously called the Wetlands Advisory Service, the consultancy employs highly skilled and experienced staff that deliver innovative solutions to its clients.
WWT Consulting operates as a subsidiary business of WWT and all profit generated is gifted back to the parent company to assist with wetland research and conservation.
